Our History
Hankook (한국) Mortuary is a family-owned business that was established in 1984 and currently has two convenient locations in downtown Los Angeles (near Koreatown) and in Norwalk (in between LA & Orange County). The “Hankook” in our name means “Korea or Korean,” and reflects our beginnings and history in the heart of Koreatown and the surrounding communities we have served and grown with over 30 years.
While we do have expertise in Korean/Korean American funeral services along with the traditions, rites, and customs that often accompany Korean funerals, our bilingual staff is fully experienced in providing a wide array of funeral services. Since our beginnings, Hankook Mortuary has developed with the ever-changing landscapes in LA and Orange County to provide customized funeral arrangements to communities of diverse religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
